We like to say pediatric dentistry is about people – our residents, faculty, alumni, friends and of course, the children. Each holds a special place in what we do and do best. Together, we have built a strong and noteworthy program.
Our top-notch faculty are currently involved in research related to child health services, pediatric sedation and anesthesia, infant oral health and early childhood caries and clinical studies. Faculty, residents and dental students are all actively involved in interdisciplinary research projects.
Our alumni and friends have come together to form the Department of Pediatric Dentistry Board of Advisors to provide much needed input to our department. Moreover, more than two dozen alumni and friends serve as much-needed adjunct faculty.
Our graduates go into private practice settings or academic careers in addition to working in dental public health or safety net clinics.
